- Note it says through 1945, when the war ended. Sorry to harp on this point, but in 1946 she wasn't hiding out and resisting the Nazis. An error is an error, and killing an innocent person can certainly not be understood.

- Again...WWII ended in 1945. At this point in time, she had no more right to kill him than you would if you went to someone's home and shot them because you suspected he was a Communist.

- I think it's a bit dramatic on your part to say that she's suffered more than any person in world. The war was already over by the time she killed him. Her guilt probably started to grow once she found out he was innocent, but who knows how long after she killed him that she found that out.
